Custom Artwork Guidelines
We want your custom mat to turn out as close to your vision as possible! Before submitting your artwork, please keep the following in mind:
- Design your artwork for the exact mat size you are ordering. If your design includes card zones, token spaces, tile areas, grids, or other elements that need to be a specific physical size, those elements should already be sized correctly within your artwork.
- Include at least 0.25" of bleed around all sides. Background colors, patterns, and artwork should extend beyond the finished edge to help prevent unwanted white or unprinted borders during production.
- Artwork that does not match the proportions of the selected mat may need to be scaled, cropped, or repositioned to fit. Scaling the entire design can also change the finished size of card slots, grids, token areas, or other functional elements.
- Use the largest, clearest version of your artwork available. Images that are too small may look clear on a phone or computer screen but can become blurry, fuzzy, or pixelated when enlarged to fit a full-size playmat. For a 14" × 24" mat, we recommend artwork that is at least 2100 × 3600 pixels, with 4200 × 7200 pixels preferred for the best print quality. Smaller images can still be printed, but the final result may not be as sharp. If you have a vector, that is the best format! Vectors can be emailed to us.
- We will make reasonable adjustments needed to prepare your submitted artwork for printing, but custom artwork setup does not include redesigning, recreating, or individually resizing elements within your design.
